FAQs

What is counselling?

Counselling is a confidential space where you can talk about whatever is troubling you. By providing a safe space for you, we can explore these difficulties together and gain a better understanding of what is going on for you and your mental health.

How do I know if I should access counselling?

If you are struggling to cope with day-to-day life, feeling overwhelmed or experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression, it may be helpful to access counselling. You can explore what is going on in your life and your feelings with someone who is not a family member or friend.

How do I know if a counsellor is right for me?

It can be an overwhelming process to try to find a counsellor! An introductory phone call or initial session can be helpful to see if you might get on with a counsellor and the way they work. I offer a check-in every 6 sessions so we can touch base and see how you are finding the sessions and if there is anything you would like to change going forward.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability!
